DANETTE VIGILANTE
PACK OF HEARTS
Pack of Hearts is an illustrated chapter book for ages 7 to 9 about kindness, courage, and the family we choose.
Slick is a gentle dog living in a junkyard when he meets Luna, a sweet poodle who has been separated from her mother. Wanting to help but unsure how, Slick gathers a small but determined pack: Athena, a sharp-eyed cat; Goodboy, a polite and steady pup; and Link, a tiny Chihuahua with bravery far bigger than his size.
Together, they follow clues and search for answers, leading them to a surprising place where compassion opens the door to second chances. Along the way, they discover that courage grows stronger when it is shared and that small acts of kindness can change lives.
Warm, accessible, and full of heart, Pack of Hearts is perfect for classrooms, libraries, and read-alouds.
